503 error when visiting privacyguides.org when using Proton VPN

Hi, since yesterday I kept getting a 503 error when visiting privacyguides.org when connected to a paid proton vpn.

Oddly as I’m typing this, the forum works just fine. Anyone else having the same problem?

I cannot reproduce this issue, can you share which server you are using?

Thanks Niek. Honestly it’s been on and off. Now it’s working again and my server hasn’t changed since I typed the OP. I’m using NL 476 with a wireguard protocol on GOS.

Yesterday I had the same issue but on my Mac. NL server, but may be different number, same protocol.

Lucky enough for you, I too am on a GOS device, so I will be testing it with that server today to see if i get any issues :).

In any case, a 503 would indicate a server side issue. Could you try and make a screenshot of the error, together with the URL you are trying to visit the next time you run into this issue?

Same here

With Proton VPN or not, I have 503 error. It seems to work again, but I also noticed this problem yesterday.

Not using ProtonVPN, but also getting a 503 since yesterday.

Every time or just once in a while?

Same thing for me.

When at work I was getting an error, at home with ProtonVPN on (US-IL#245) I just get a blank page. This happens every time.

Here you go. From NL 526. Url is https://www.privacyguides.org/en/ Thanks for checking btw!

Thanks for the screenshot, ive seen quite a few people reporting this now as well in our matrix chat, even though i have not been able to reproduce it myself.

There certainly seems to be an issue of some kind, ive forwarded it to our administrator.

https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/privacyguides.org reports the site as down, but I can reach it myself, even when thrlwing away my cache. I suspect some weird DNS issue

Edit for folks reporting here, please include your OS, whether you use a vpn or not, and browser.

503 issue here as well.

GOS, Vanadium, Android 15, Mullvad VPN / ProtonVPN

Thanks everyone, I think I found an issue where one (of the two) servers wouldn’t respond to requests some of the time.

I believe it should be working for everyone again
