Up until somewhat recently, the vast majority of home 3D printers had simple OS’s. There’s Octoprint, but it’s an open source add on. Now, printers such as the Bambu and Creality K1 are more advanced and by default send a lot of data back to the manufacturer. Unfortunately’ the vast majority of the community sees this as a feature instead of something to be avoided. Fortunately the software for the Creality K1 was recently released as open source. Does anyone know of any privacy friendly forks or distros for this printer?
