I came across this on X the other day:
One person on X who I’d be inclined to trust said it was working for them. On the other hand, the website seems fairly low on details and I notice that they don’t seem to mention their fees, which feels a bit sketchy.
The attraction here is that this is potentially a KYC-free Mastercard (so widely accepted with no fuss) which is available to those of us outside the US.
From memory - I can’t find the post where someone mentioned them - I think their fees are:
- $30 to get the card
- 6% on top ups
- $0.70 per transaction
- 2.5% on non-USD transactions
This is way too much for me, but it’s still interesting. I’ve love to be wrong about these fees. Take them with a pinch of salt.
Any thoughts? Is this just too good to be true? I’ve seen semi-credible claims that there is no way on earth anyone could issue a truly KYC-free Visa or Mastercard, but I’m definitely no expert on this stuff.
I don’t need this badly enough to be willing to pay these fees. I’d be willing to pay something for such a card, but not this much. I’d personally use it only for the rare occasions when I’m buying something in person (so no identifying things like a delivery address) and they won’t take cash and I’d reluctantly agree to pay with my regular credit card rather than just walk away.
