YouTube Broken on Vanadium Now. Can I Work Around?

Is there any way to get around this without compromising my privacy too much? I don’t have a login for Google and don’t want one.

What exactly is broken?

I don’t see what is broken but is there a reason you wouldn’t use a YouTube frontend instead? Some clients (like NewPipe) provide an even better experience than using YouTube signed out on a browser as you can skip ads, follow channels, create local playlists, etc. If there’s a reason you must use the official YouTube website then the only other alternative would be to try different browsers. Either way, I’d troubleshoot or report the Vanadium issue so it may eventually be resolved.

Nothing shows up, I.e., recommendations, videos, etc. I have to search to see anything.

YouTube has been like that for a while. I believe they stopped showing front page recommendations long ago. I don’t know of a way around it, the closest thing is that NewPipe shows popular livestreams but I think the front page recommended videos have completely discontinued.

This isn’t a problem with Vanadium, this is just how youtube is.

Yes, you’re right. I just meant that I’m using Vanadium. That sucks. Was fine forever, until it wasn’t.

Personally I think Grayjay is the most reliable way to interact with YouTube these days.

I think that having an empty page with no videos is by far the best default ever for YT. :light_blue_heart:
