X-VPN Completed the Independent No-Logs Assessment

We commissioned one of the Big Four accounting firms in Singapore to conduct an independent assurance engagement on the statements in X-VPN’s Privacy Policy
relating to the processing of user data, as well as the corresponding
practices supporting those statements. The Big Four audit firm performed
this engagement in accordance with the International Standard on
Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3000 (Revised).

Why isn’t the “Big Four” auditor named, so that the claim can be independently verified? Also, the fact that the website highlights proprietary clients (“apps”) over open protocols such as OpenVPN and Wireguard does not inspire a lot of confidence. You shouldn’t have to run proprietary software to use a VPN, and I certainly won’t.

Now I regret having posted about this company I recently discovered that although they claim to be based in Singapore what they do not disclosure in their website is that their parent company, called Free Connected Limited, is based in China. Hiding it discredits X-VPN, and nobody is going to trust a Chinese VPN company for privacy, it is one of the worst countries in the World for privacy or free speech.
