I’m sorry, but all of them suck. This is a forum that focuses on privacy and security first and foremost. Nobody in here will recommend you insecure or privacy invasive crap.
You have two options:
Try to get a Google Pixel by either looking at P2P markets, importing it, or buying from a reseller like NitroKey, etc.
Get an iPhone that will receive software support for at least a few years.
OK Lukas I guess I’m going to be purchasing an IPhone later this year since they are more common in the rest of the world but I’m really disappointed that no one Makes a light version Fork of Graphene OS as it isn’t impossible even A them of 20 can make it and im will wait for the day it comes out for Non Google Devices having security is one thing but I’m not an whistleblower or Edward Snowden so I’m going to buy used Motorola Phones for DOS And Calyx
Its easy to make a GrapheneOS fork for other phones. It is significantly harder to make GrapheneOS fork correctly.
Its not just software that makes it good and reasonably secure. Having a technically correct hardware stack to protect the software stack over it. Unfortunately it is even harder to do it right as we are limited to a handful of phone manufacturers.
Also please make your post easy to read by using punctuation correctly. This isnt Discord and your typo will haunt this forum for its lifetime and probably all search engines as well (unless you edit it).
Oh sorry about that I’m going to fix it later and for the GOS Hardware We Have To Pray that At Least Samsung Motorola Xaiomi And Fairphone up their Security Games Alongside frequent Updates
I can put both GrapheneOS and DivestOS on whatever phone I want. With half security features missing, an unlocked bootloader, and a completely broken Android security model.
I don’t know why people are so upset about microSD cards.
Their quality has always been and is complete garbage, regardless of the brand. In the best-case scenario, it’s inconvenient when it breaks or corrupts the files. In the worst-case scenario, it results in data loss if one doesn’t have backups.
Google Pixel devices come with a USB-C to USB-A adapter, which can be used to literally connect any external drive that one can think of.
There are also various good E2EE cloud solutions, like Proton Drive, etc.
I mean, it’s a cheap and easy way to extend your storage. If you have lots of videos or music, it’s a no-brainer, and the performance doesn’t really matter. And the fact that SD card were once ubiquitous and now are rarely available in new phones is disappointing, because it’s clearly just a way for manufacturers to make more money by upselling their phones with higher internal storage or (even worse) nudging you to upload your stuff to their cloud (Google Drive, iCloud, Onedrive).
This wouldn’t even be a problem if they would have phones with generous internal storage available for those who want it. The iPhone Mini could be bought with up to 1 TB internal storage, but when I bought my Pixel 8, the highest available storage was 256 GB. Which is okay for me, but - coming from a Samsung with SD card before - I did have to convert all my lossless (.flac) music to a lossy format (.opus) to make them fit.
(I’m really grateful that you arrived) i already said that Pixels aren’t awful but my point is Since I’m stuck with this (1) Model i have to keep it alive for at least 7 years and You’re OS is the last resort from throwing the phone into E Waste
I know but the Pro is way too big for me. I’m mostly annoyed that it’s clearly just a strategy from Google trying to get people to pay more. The 1 TB storage would’ve fit into the normal model (or the “a” model) too, but they don’t offer it because they want people to spend more and get the Pro.
