I stumbled upon this reddit post : https://redlib.catsarch.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/cz2698/companies_that_send_pgp_encrypted_emails/ , and was wondering if anyone has a more up to date list , most privacy services offer pgp keys for their support email but I was wondering if there is more out there
Believe it or not, Facebook, yes that Facebook does that a long, long time ago. You could attach a public key on its setting and for notification email etc they’ll encrypt with the key. Eventually they did end up retiring it though, probably because not many people bother to use it.
yeah people who use pgp usually don’t use Facebook , afaik it was just for security emails but it’s retired anyway , I’m curious if there are services that still offer it , for email to be e2ee we need senders to support it too , or else right now it’s “just” encrypted at rest , and proton/tuta can (we trust that they don’t) store a copy of unencrypted emails if they want (and they have in edge cases when LEA asked them to)
