When accessing a website, what type of personal data gets shared when challenged with “prove your human” is required? I think most are cloudflare?
Usually if you just click a button, the site is tracking how the mouse moves. A bot moves the mouse in a completely straight line, where as a human moves around more randomly.
It’s not really a concern.
Google is trying to push some bullshit where you need to scan a qr code with a phone that has certified Play integrity - ie not any modified OS such as Graphene. That’s dangerous, but not common at the moment.
Thank you for the response.
I tried a web search for any answers and the best i could come up with was it is used for fingerprinting our devices/browser as well?
Is that true as well?
Maybe these previous threads are helpful?
Thank you! Yes, this is what I was looking for. I hope that using TOR browser and then responding to the “Are you a human” prompt is blocking the fingerprinting like these discussions are saying. (I don’t know how to test these issues myself).
So, I think the simple answer is that TOR and Mullvad browsers and answering “yes” to the “are you human” prompt by Cloudflare, are sufficient to preventing the fingerprinting when accessing an HTTPS:// site. (hopefully this is an accurate summary)
