What are the concerns with Librewolf?

Correct, my original question in my post was answered… (unless this response is related to someone else’s comment)

For clarification, when I wrote this post, I didn’t really understand how criteria was developed for recommending browsers or that different browsers have different case uses. I was also confused about how other browsers were developed using Firefox source code. I get it now. My question has been answered thank you.

lol thank you, it went right over my head!

I have been playing around with Ubuntu in a VM I think I’m just a little nervous about making the leap, but you are right, I should just go for it! Thank you!

(sorry I know the past couple comments have been off topic but hope they don’t get taken down)

Ubuntu is also a great starter distro. But start with Mint and stick with Flatpak apps if you ask me. The UI should be familiar if coming from Windows and everything should just work.

Once you’re more comfortable with Mint, I recommend you give Fedora a try. It also comes in Cinnamon DE if you happen to want to stick with the look and feel of Mint.

No worries, thank you so much for the encouragement! I will give it a go!

I won’t remove any comments. I think I might have forgotten to mark this post as answered though…

No, you shouldn’t do that: Cinnamon is third-party software for Fedora, and it doesn’t work correctly on Fedora (Wayland doesn’t work, you can’t set desktop icons to a normal size, and there are many other potential incompatibilities). It’s better to choose Fedora KDE, which is more similar to Linux Mint and Windows.

Discussion about LibreWolf’s recommendation status should take place in the dedicated thread:
