This is the dumbest ad possible.

Here’s the transcript, forget your ad views.

The internet today is a lawless place full of wrong opinions and offensive imagery. A differing opinion is a dangerous thing and so-called memes are merely a gateway to propagandist freethinking and violent anarchy. I’m Jay Arthur Watkins and these are the dangers of VPNs. While our trusted leaders bless their souls do their honest best to suppress harmful information and jail those who post offensive memes, dangerous tools like VPNs sidestep those lawful orders and leave the public free to roam the

uncontrolled internet. Many victims fall prey to the promises made by this menacing software, not knowing how much their lives would be ruined. Meet Trevor Dor, the survivor of a VPN incident so horrifying, we have to warn you that the following excerpt may be too disturbing to listen to. As an advertising executive, I just love to look at ads online. There’s more and more of them in every page you visit, which means more money in my pocket. A friend that I have told me about VPN, so I decided to try

Windscribe, and I couldn’t believe it. It removes all the ads. [laughter] I don’t see them anymore. Humble corporations around the world dedicate almost $800 billion a year to provide you the advertisements you see online and VPNs using their nasty built-in ad and tracker blockers directly threatening the profits of uh prevent you from seeing the products you might want to buy. Some of the most at risk are of course the children. Little Tommy, an adopted orphan who tried using a VPN on his device at

school, says this of his experience. My school blocks like a ton of cool stuff under Wi-Fi. But after I put Windinscribe on a computer, I can play games and stuff with my friends, like after I finish the assignment. Not going to lie, like it’s kind of peak >> tragic. My heart truly goes out to the youth of this generation. Now, let’s hear from a local business owner whose livelihood was tragically destroyed by a VPN. >> When streaming services went international, they started

geor-restricting tons of content locally. So, I thought, “This is my chance at the big bucks.” Uh, I started selling all those foreign shows and movies on bootleg DVDs under the basement of a laundromat. Business was booming, you know, uh, lines around the block to watch the latest uh, Japanese exclusive [music] anime releases. >> And what happened after that? >> Well, that’s when Windscribe came along and uh, made it a oneclick solution. Folks don’t even leave their couch

anymore, you know, now right back to stealing change from [music] homeless veterans around the corner. poisoning the minds of our youth, disrupting international industries, and destroying local businesses. These are just a taste of the horrors that the countless people affected by VPNs must endure. If you or someone you know is thinking about using a VPN, make sure the dangers are known. You don’t want to accidentally stumble upon the information that you’re looking for, which you shouldn’t see. I’m Jay

Arthur Watkins. Stay safe.

Thanks for this.

I fell for this until I opened that YT link and saw who uploaded this.

I think this is why the forum has a rule for adding the name of the channel before the video title in such posts.

It’s fine honestly, if you want to hurt the channel:

  • quickly leave (no need to watch until the end)
  • drop a dislike
  • don’t click on any other video on the channel

Bounce rate hurts a lot, hence it’s not a bad thing to just hop in and out.
Their loss.
