Pretty much every account that has a passkey setup still requires a password. Is it the same thing for everyone else?
There are a few that don’t require a password or let you remove it after you make your account. It seems like everyone is dipping their toes in and they’re too scared to let you disable your password. But on the forum here you can actually disable your password and only use passkeys, although for some reason Discourse doesn’t let you sign up with a passkey in the first place I think.
I think the old way of making accounts via email and password is just so deeply ingrained that it’ll be hard to get services to budge.
