Total EU surveillance with state as car passenger

Total surveillance with the state as a passenger! A committee of the ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) dominated by police and secret services is currently working unnoticed on the future mass surveillance of vehicles in real time.

Position data from the sat nav will then provide a permanent movement profile. Speed, fuel level, open windows and doors will be transmitted, as will the number of people currently in the vehicle and the IDs of all smartphones connected to the infotainment system. By linking the vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle with the smartphone IMEI, remote access to certain functions of the on-board electronics will also be possible from outside the vehicle.

This means mass, unprovoked surveillance of citizens every minute without a warrant. First data is collected, then it is misused. And every additional power that the state takes today will also be misused against us tomorrow.

Is this complete madness or not?
Will their be any possibility to opt-out?
