Spying in Pakistan

Hi, I read this yesterday. Will using apps like signal and simpleX still keep us safe? I am new to this.

Yes, Signal and SimpleX will mitigate this. And I would always use a VPN connected to a free and open country on all your devices. Also download Tor to keep that handy.

If that system entails installing what amounts to a backdoor on your/all devices then no, at this point nothing you do with the phone will be safe,

That is not at all what i read in the article. It just seems to talk about ordinary wiretapping with a Lawful Intercept Management System. I would be surprised if there are countries that do not have this.

The only thing concerning is that quite a few countries use this extensively, Pakistan surely isn’t alone there. Signal does not fall victim of this.

if my brief reading is correct feel free to correct me in case i didn’t read the article correctly
First focus on your tactic of circumvention including but not limited to, changing DNS, using a VPN or TOR
then start worrying about using tools, in this case yes Signal and SimpleX will do pretty good, I especially recommend Molly, the fork of signal since you can utilize tor with this instead of proxy
