Not sure either tbh. It says “If you are not connected to Mullvad VPN then the Mullvad extension will recommend that you enable Mullvad DoH.”, and then proceeds to say “It is better to use our non-logging privacy DNS than your Internet provider’s DNS.”, so it’s clearly not about other VPN users.
My guess is that it’s probably better anti fingerprinting wise to keep it on, but keep in mind that you’re trusting both Mullvad and Windscribe
I read their new review and still can’t figure out if I should leave Mullvad DNS running when using Proton VPN.
This is still not clear for me either.
If I use trustworthy VPN A (not Mullvad) with Mullvad Browser, should I change the ‘Enable DNS over HTTPS using:’ to ‘Default Protection’ and risk fingerprinting or leave to ‘Max Protection’ and risk DNS leak?
The answer is kind of answered here: DNS over HTTPS - #34 by win11.shading291
DNS on a browser should be disabled when you’re using a VPN at all times (with kill-switch on for instance).
