ProtonPass + Yubikey

I was setting up a new pair of Yubikeys and went to my ProtonPass app to check if I could set some authentication and encryption for the passwords stored based on Yubikey rather than Biometrics, password or PIN. ( I already have the extra password option set up).

Unsure why they would not offer this kind of feature.

What? I don’t fully follow what you’re asking/saying.

But you can add your Yubikey as an authentication method for your Proton account. So, when you log into your Proton Pass, you will need to use your Yubikey (or TOTP if you have that enabled) to log in.

Are you asking for Yubikey auth to view/access each password/credential/account stored within?

You will need to see if each account you have stored within has support for Yubikey/security key for authentication. Proton Pass can’t do anything here. What Proton Pass can do is provide passkey for authentication which you can store within it within each credential on Proton Pass.

I hope that makes it clear for what Proton Pass can or can’t do and what it’s meant for.

Ohh, what I meant is that ProtonPass is storing my passwords (I’m sure encrypted also).
I just would like to Unlock with Yubikey + be able to encrypt all my passwords with an additional layer and a key that I only know. It can be ofc without a YubiKey. But just seems convenient…

What you’re asking is the second password functionality that Proton Pass already has. But that’s not Yubikey based.
