Scan, save, and secure your documents.
We’re progressively rolling out paper document scanning in Proton Drive for iOS. Files are saved as PDFs, encrypted on your device, and securely stored in your Drive, ready to organize, access, or share.
Android support coming soon!
What a f*cking W for Drive. I have been using Dangerzone for OCR for a while now. I love Dangerzone, but it’s been a pain because I’ve only been able to get it working on my Windows home machine, which is often inconvenient for me to use.
I see. Yeah, that would be a cool update to their feature set for Drive.
But we seriously fucking need Sheets first. It’s high time and Proton not releasing it is starting to feel personal and also somewhat stupid because Docs came out so long ago and the entire Drive products space feels pointless without sheets that are most often used in businesses.
I’m likely misunderstanding it. But you also might be misunderstanding me as well. I use Dangerzone because they make PDFs text-searchable. The security benefit it adds is additional to me.
I would have no idea how it would work on the web version, which was why I was excited. But I guess this is not what I am imagining.
