Privacy implications of Alexa+

from a privacy POV, that if one is okay with Alexa, one may as well be okay with Alexa+ because Alexa itself is terrible for privacy.

I would point out that privacy isn’t black and white, even Amazon can make their policy worse.

There’s plenty of info already available on this forum and elsewhere about Alexa and how it is bad for you from a privacy POV.

Sure and I think if you had linked to those that would of been helpful. As you pointed out OP seems like a new user and may not be fully aware of those posts or how to search for them.

please explain how it is not oxymoronic to ask about this in a privacy forum when it should be clear that Alexa and tools like it are absolutely not recommended to use if one values their privacy.

The site and the forum is meant to help people of varying privacy threat models. There are lots of times where people need to make informed decisions about options that are not privacy friendly. This forum is here to help those people from what i understand. I don’t find it to be oxymoronic at all.

I am not saying you are wrong. I do think there is an opportunity for both you and OP to evaluate your communication styles as I think the discussion devolved into something not helpful for anyone who might find this post and now I fear the post is now completely off topic.
