Presearch.com, Decentralized Search Engine

Thank you!

Great.
I’d be interested to hear if you do a deep research test.
I understand the take on the ad inventory that were crypto or gambling related. It depends on the market of our ad inventory; for instance now you might see an electric bike ad. Pros and cons of no profiling and serving verticals that others don’t.

The right side of search results is specifically set aside for ads so it would be blank if ads are blocked. We’re getting rid of some of the icons as well that you suggested.
This feedback did have me prompt utilizing the right side for the users seeing ad-free.

What companies/sectors would you prefer to have advertised?

Thank you immensely for the thoughts and words, @faxe, very helpful!

I can’t tell you why that happened some time ago. Today, when registered users delete their account, any associated information is deleted.

Thank you for the response @Valynor, @Lukas . We don’t desire addiction and debt to Presearch users who see an online gaming ad. There are other advertisements users will see, but I obviously appreciate the feedback. What would be optimal for you, @Valynor ?

Correct, there’s tens of thousands of people running nodes, making the decentralized architecture that powers Presearch.

Some of the foundational architecture features:

  • Node Registry, Gateway, and decentralized nodes that perform tasks like request processing, federating results, crawling, indexing, etc.

  • The network routes search queries through these nodes, stripping identifiable information for user privacy and combining results before presenting them to users.

  • Running a node is recommended on computers powered on 24/7 due to uptime score statistics.

  • Installation or management of a node can be done over any operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux, other of your choice) as long as you can access the underlying docker application.

  • There is no preferred setup as the main goal is to support decentralization

Great. What did you like @anon80779245?

Presearch lets advertisers stake PRE tokens on specific keywords. Whoever stakes the most tokens for a given keyword gets their ad displayed when users search that term.

Users can report irrelevant or spammy ads, helping the team refine ad quality; relevancy is also dependent on supply of stakers.

Sounds like a crypto scam to me. Avoid.

I thought they were very clear, like—oh, IDK—no gambling or other kinds of exploitative ads?
