Well, they appear to be using the same “loop hole” that Proton is using in that unless the crime elsewhere is also in Swiss and unless complaints come through proper legal channels to Swiss authorities for Swiss companies, they can’t comply or do anything about it. The difference here is that UAE is an authoritarian country where the State controls laws and whatnot so even if something is “illegal” or illegal, it’s still upto them to comply.
