Nayax VPOS Touch has camera not mentioned in manual or privacy policy

Nayax cashless payment devices have a camera lens at the top. There is no mention of the words ‘camera’ or ‘photograph’ in the manual.

I can’t tell from the second picture (back) if something is connected to the lens or not. Nayax’ privacy policy doesn’t mention photographs or cameras (with the exception of photographs voluntary submitted by the user to the company).

The absence of any mention of a camera is strange, especially as a photo of someone’s face in combination with their payment details must be worth something to someone.

I’ve read in an older post here on a similar topic these might be in place for future use, but how will customers know when they start being filmed, and who decides what happens to that combined personal data of photo of face and bank details?
