What is the disincentive to Mayo? If they operated in the EU, they could be fined either €20 million, or 4% of global annual turnover. If they operated in Quebec, it’s $25 million, or again 4%.
Detached reaction aside, it’s abhorrent to deploy such tools in a place where one would assume an expectation of privileged conversation applies.
