Well I changed the main account password and used a long generated passphrase via Proton Pass. I never saw the password. It shouldn’t log me out immediately everywhere but it almost did. I just have an open logged on single instance of proton mail
I did not expect to be logged out of my Proton pass on my phone, but it did and caused me a lot of stress.
I was able to regain access to my Proton account and all the encrypted data thanks to this amazing recovery option: Signed-in reset | Proton
Great that this worked out for you in the end. You (and everyone else) should still keep in mind that this feature shouldn’t be used as the only recovery option like Proton advises:
Signed-in reset is designed to be used as a last resort if you forget your Proton account password. It does not replace the need to set up one or more Proton account recovery methods.
