Doing things in the browser will be a lot more secure than doing things in native Linux applications.
What about sesion/cookie hijacking? Isn’t that more risky? If for example i stay logged in in my password manager on the browser rather than having a linux app?
Please at least provide us with some background on what you are trying to protect and from whom.
This is for all os. That browser will be a better option
Browser-based encryption defeats the purpose of E2EE and puts more trust in the provider than is needed. For this specifically, a native program is better.
