Is there any facial recognition I can't opt out of from the US to the EU?

I’m traveling with both a US and EU passport from the US to Europe. Are there any points in the airport process where facial recognition is forced and I cannot opt out?

I’ve opted out of TSA and CBP entries in the US before, but I’m unsure about these two steps:

  • Boarding the plane at a US airport
  • Entering the EU (flying into one EU country before continuing to mainland Europe)

If there’s any other related issue I should be aware of, I’d appreciate the info.

You could use some laws—or one of them (if any exist)—to address your situation.

The thing is, it depends on you, the people you’re talking to, and that particular law, because some people will probably be demanding of you.

If your issue is just and very important, you should look for a viable solution to your situation. As for the cameras, I act as if they don’t exist for me.
