Is the community wiki trustworthy?

If you’re looking for an official endorsement from Privacy Guides, the community wiki is not representative of our opinions. Instead, we hope that the community wiki can be a great start to future contributions to the PG knowledge base itself.

The main difference between the two is that our knowledge base and recommendations are thoroughly researched and approved by multiple staff members. The community wiki is more informal; anyone with a certain trust level can contribute and edit it accordingly.

While a GitHub PR can theoretically make such collaboration possible, a community wiki makes it much more accessible for our community members. That’s why you should be wary of any opinions espoused there regardless of the source.
