Hi,
I use Fedora. I have my own account. I also have another account for family members. The account has a password, but the password is written on the laptop’s behind
Its because this is guest account. Its not sudoer user.
Is this dangerous if my laptop get stolen? If yes what can I do for better solution? Is there any trick you can give me.
Thank you
Enable disk encryption. If the device is stolen, they wouldn’t be able to access the contents of the drive since it’ll ask for the key before anything becomes accessible.
Edit: you can always encrypt sensitive files if you dont want to encrypt the entire drive

To answer your titular question as you’ve written it, no - it is not inherently dangerous.
But it is really bad OPSEC to have any password written down no matter the triviality of the account in question.
Please enable disk encryption but as I understand it, it’s best to set this up while setting up/installing your Linux distro itself. I am not sure of any drawbacks of doing this after the fact or if its even properly possible. Others can answer on this better.
