Is blocking a privacy invasive app's internet access enough?

Having a pixel with grapheneos, i’m thinking about buying nova launcher.
I know it’s been bought by a data mining company and is now full of telemetry and spying tools. So is blocking its internet access through GOS app settings (revoking the app’s internet access authorisation) enough to keep its usage private?

I would say generally yes, but the app could communicate with other apps through mutal consent, but normally, it is only a theoretical problem.
