India Considers Enforcing A-GPS on Mobile Devices

India’s government is considering a proposal to force smartphone manufacturers to enable GPS tracking at all times.

Like I’ve said before, India will propose something outrageous, gauge the response, and react accordingly. All a test to see what and how much they can get away with.

Slow erosion of privacy is akin to a frog slowly boiling in water when temperature is slowly increased to then inevitably die. Mark my words, lack of privacy and cybersecurity will cost the subcontinent dearly.

I say this knowing enough about the region, its people, and their culture.
