Good to see a fresh set of eyes calling out the friction points. There can be an Ikea Effect for existing Linux users where they see their setups as obvious and easily attainable… experience has allowed them to memory-hole the hours of troubleshooting broken drivers, failed booting, etc.
There’s definitely been a lot of progress in the past 1-2 years, but there’s still a ways to go.

I was excited, but stopped watching after she said she needed 4 fresh installs for it to work.

Wow I used to watch Switch & Click years ago for their keyboard videos, they’re the reason I got into keyboards. Cool that they’re still going and making videos about other stuff now too
