What I’d really like to know is how to selectively clear cookies/cache for individual sites on Chromium-based browsers like I can on Firefox. I don’t want to clear all my cache for a single site that’s acting up and log myself out of every other site in the process.
Or even just the ability to turn history off altogether! I don’t want it.
Firefox lets you do this by unchecking Remember browsing and download history
. I have yet to find a way to do this on a Chromium-based browser.
I believe you can do this at chrome://settings/content/all
Thank you!!
I swore I could remember this existing at some point, but the settings are such a maze I was never able to find it again.
Glad to see more articles often. Love the pace. Keep it up please!
People more familiar with tech often greatly overestimate the average person’s familiarity with it, so it’s good to see beginners aren’t left out!
Another two methods I believe (it’ll vary depending on browser and platform, but roughly):
- Next to the search bar, click the https lock icon / the sliding bar icon and navigate to cookies and site data.
- Settings → cookies & site data / site settings → all sites
Very good to know!
