Hello, I’ve installed Xcode on my Mac to explore it as I am interested in development, but new to it. It is taking too much space and I have deleted it but I can see the leftovers are still there and taking space. So, how can I delete it completely?
If you can see leftovers navigate to the folder that has the leftovers and delete it
Try Pearcleaner
AppCleaner has been around for many, many years and is tiny & works.
Maybe check in the ~/Library/Application Support/ directory.
Or use a system scanner to find out where it is still located, something like GitHub - viktomas/godu: Simple golang utility helping to discover large files/folders.
Otherwise, a quick search provides me quite a lot of potential answers too ![]()
Was gonna suggest exactly this
Not sure if installing an app to remove some is the way to go especially if you then need to trust a big thing running on your computer. ![]()
But at least it’s open-source indeed. ![]()
Hello guys, thank you for your recommendations, I just want to tell you I’ve found a solution, and I am able to delete the xcode completely using the devcleaner app which is made for the cleaning xcode only.
