Privacy Guides recommends the browsers Tor, Mullvad, Firefox + Arkenfox, and Brave. Firstly, I have heard that Firefox + Arkenfox is very similar to Mullvad, but more convenient? In other words, there seems to be overlap between the two, so would it not be redundant to use both browsers? Basically,…

Most people who use multiple web browsers will use Mullvad Browser for generally reading the internet and visiting sites which they don’t have an account with, and Firefox (or Brave) for visiting the sites they do log in to, checking their email, social media, etc.

I personally like using seperate Brave user profiles for te various services i log into. accounts are grouped in catagories (profile) like work, school, social etc… I have used firefox for the same purpose in the past, however the simplcity of brave browser setup/configuration has prompted me to mo…

I’m not sure, maybe it’s just not compatible with what you do online. When I’m online what I’m mostly doing is searching the internet and reading articles, two things which don’t require authentication. If you’re mostly doing work in web apps (or doing less productive things like using social media …

So, for when I am signed in, people seem to be suggesting Brave > Firefox/Firefox + Arkenfox?

[image] Sprout3425: One last question to everyone. For sites that I do log into should I use Firefox, Firefox + Arkenfox or Brave? @xe3 curious about your thoughts too? I see these 3 options as roughly equivalent. I would encourage you to use one of the two Firefox based options, but that is …

Im going to repeat myself again and again: we dont want to completely lose Gecko engine user share (meaning firefox/tor/mullvad browser) so we should prioritize them always. If you can tolerate the slowness of Tor Browser, we all should normalize its usage. If you cant stomach due to captchas and …

Ok, thanks Haunt the community sentiment here seems to use Firefox when logged in. Should I use Arkenfox too? To be honest I have no idea how to use Arkenfox, but I will learn.

As a side note I noticed with Brave you can customise security settings on a site-by-site basis easily. Can this be achieved on Mullvad? Sorry for inundating everyone with questions.

[image] Sprout3425: Absolutely, these are the questions I have no clue how to answer myself. Here is how I would suggest choosing: Do you have a preference for Firefox or Brave (in general)? If you have no strong preference choose Firefox (for the reason @anon73250778 pointed out as well as…

[image] Sprout3425: To be honest I have no idea how to use Arkenfox, but I will learn. The only people who should use Arkenfox are people who understand Arkenfox, so if you read through every page on the Arkenfox wiki and understand how it works, then it can be a valuable tool for improving p…
