A bug in Google Messages is causing some people's texts from months or years ago to be sent to random people instead.
I used Google Messages years ago but have now moved on to a different messenger. I wonder, will this bug still affect me?
Seems like it’s specifically triggered when you transfer to a new phone? So it’s likely you won’t be affected but I would still wait for the fix to come out.
Depending on to who and what gets sent, this could get you into some hot water 
I could imagine this person is having.. some issues.
Another user reported that a message about sex from a past conversation was attached to a message sent to their mother.
