what are the dangers of google authenticator ? I use a service that only allows the Google authenticator, what do you recommend? I would like to know what could be negative about this authenticator. thankss
Have you confirmed that this is actually the case? That is, have you tried scanning the provided QR code (or manually inputting the secret) with a different authenticator app?
Sites may strongly recommend using Google Authenticator for TOTP, but it might not be the case that TOTP can be generated only through Google Authenticator.
