Reviews of email services seem to be all over the road.

Can anyone confirm if Fastmail:

  • sells user data
  • is open or closed source (or mixed)
  • is e2ee
  • has any servers/data storage in the U.S.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I’ve read the PG email recommendations, and been through looking at most of them in various degrees.

Googling has generated very hit and miss results for me, as implied, and they can vary from stuff I don’t need to outright wrong info (one review I read stated Mailfence was based in Canada, for instance, which led to that being stuck in my head for a short while before it was corrected by others here). That’s why I figured it made more sense all around to ask people far more reliable here for the specific info I was seeking.
