all good. Even if a Pixel was an option. Unless you can return the phone for a Pixel, it’s like fine. If you can’t stick to that otherwise I would suggest it but I can see why you may want the fairphone.

They no longer allow signature spoofing for every packages since last month (to be fair this is quite recent so I missed it)

Not insecure? As we know, /e/os requires an unlocked bootloader, which ruins practically the entire security of your Android device. See:

This goes far beyond just the encryption, since an attacker can trivially flash partitions without risk of erasing user-data (according to DivestOS FAQ), I would assume with the altered/compromised system, the encryption wouldn’t last long, e.g. brute-force the password, etc. All of that with a persistent after reboot compromise, which would not be the case with locked bootloader. The privacy of /e/OS is not worth the bad security it has packaged, and so even Stock Android—security-wise—is a far better choice IMHO.

To add on to that, you can’t relock the bootloader on devices that support it either, but if you purchase that same device from Murena, then you get locked bootloader (with test keys!)
