Does GrapheneOS or stock Pixel Android use ARM Confidential Compute Architecture (CCA)?

Confidential Compute Architecture (CCA), was introduced as an optional feature in Armv9.2 and is designed to provide protection for data in use, even from privileged software like the operating system or hypervisor. It builds on the security foundations of TrustZone and introduces hardware mechanisms like the Realm Management Extension (RME) to protect data and code even while they are in use.

  • Is CCA utilized on Pixel 9 series which has Armv9.2?
  • If not, are there plans to implement it on GrapheneOS?

Unfortunately no GrapheneOS representatives have verified accounts with us here, so questions about their roadmap are probably best directed here: Contact | GrapheneOS

That’s unfortunate. Asking on GrapheneOS’ forums and in their general Matrix room didn’t get any responses.
