I bought a hardware wallet about seven years ago and hid it well. Do I need to upgrade my hardware wallet regularly (new hardware) for security reasons? Is that the case?
Depends what your current wallet is. If it’s an older device without a proper secure element like a Trezor Model T then upgrading is important in terms of physical security. Obviously if there are known weaknesses with the model you have then you’d need to upgrade as well.
Otherwise it’s not urgent, but consumer electronics don’t last forever, so you should be regularly checking that everything works and have a regularly tested recovery plan in place.
