Just going to chuck in my two cents here. There are reasons other than privacy not to use anything by Meta. For example, personally—and aside from the privacy concerns—I refuse to use any Meta products because they directly amplified the Rohingya genocide in Myanmar, simply because it was good for engagement.
So essential just stop using Meta products. No need to involve politics
Why not? What is a position on software licenses, or opinion on privacy laws anything if not politics.
I think its fine to also have ethical considerations in the mix, some that are arguably or higher severity. If its not your concern it’s fine but doesn’t need to be dismissed as “politics” if it doesn’t fall into your purview.
I’m not saying what you said in general is political, just that political aspect you shared. And is mostly a concern of mine so things don’t get political that is outside of privacy and security
I personally am not a huge fan of geopolitics and stuff like that but it is the concern not my opinion that I’m worried exactly of making geopolitical statement. And it is also whenever it falls under the rules of the forum or not.
