People are realizing with age verification being rolled out globally but genuinely not to sound defeatist because this is based on my own experience seeing what happens when situations like these escalate, if they see it doesn’t affect them, they move on or find workarounds.
This is also speaking as someone who I’ve been set foot on only allowing DM communication through things like SimpleX and Signal, People have actively refused or (even if that one time only rightfully) called me sketchy for even setting that boundary, even ones we trusted and established communication still refused to do so.
Only one, who is also a dutch person last I checked actually accepted the transition to signal for me, none else.
I think if you’re in that similar situation there are criterias you can tell to meet, but even those won’t budge them in my experience.
