I would like to use a dedicated IP address for gaming. The reason for this is that some players have malicious intentions and I want to protect myself from this. The shared VPN IP’s are already partially blocked for some games. Can you tell me which VPN provider offers the best dedicated IP? Unfortunately, ProtonVPN, Mullvad and ivpn do not support this function. I also don’t want to use my own VPS. I am looking for the most trustworthy providers.
I also see little reason for concealing your IP address in the context you described. Nonetheless, addressing your inquiry, Windscribe [1] does provide shared static IP servers. These may work for your scenario. However, Windscribe is currently not recommended by Privacy Guides [2].
You have to test it yourself with networking tools. What you’re looking for is a nearest, networking wise, dedicated server. Use the weakest Wireguard encryption and run a client on a dedicated x86 router with AES accelerator.
PlayStation parties use p2p for voice chats, so do many games. I haven’t seen a notable game leaks, but why shouldn’t we take the same precautions with games? IP is PII.
Well, if you are that worried about others attacking you, just don’t use the voice chats.
Because it will degrade your experience. And the likelihood of someone with the technical skills to get your IP is very low.
Not really. For the ISP sure, but otherwise an IP doesn’t correlate to an identity by itself. That is for individuals without acess to data brokers ofc.
This is not a solution, as games have had remote image loading issues and some IP grabber websites are behind Cloudflare which afaik tells them your real IP even behind Warp.
