Can I mitigate some of the privacy issues of the Android app Alarmy by removing network permission?

Lately I need a fancy alarm clock that screams at me until I do memory puzzles, but they are usually very high in permissions and data shared.

If I take a full–featured one, Alarmy, and remove all permissions — especially Network permission, as is easy on GrapheneOS — does this increase privacy as well as security?

Alarmy on Google Play

Contains Ads, In-app purchases

Yeah blocking the network permission should actually allow it so that the company doesn’t collect your data nor provides advertising.
Assuming the app works with the network permission revoked.

There is always the IPC issue, I’m not sure I would trust that app even with network revoked.

Even if IPC is a thing, It can’t send data to the company’s servers, Unless I’m missing something but still…

Probably the other IPC app could, right?

so for example Alarmy communicates with Google? It’s google that gets the data in this case not alarmy
but I diagress right, if the threat model here is to prevent data collection from the company that made Alarmy, blocking network connection does it but it is important to mention limitations like that yes so thanks for bringing it up.
