Best way to install Wireguard app without the Mac App Store?

Title.

I need to download the Wireguard app for macOS but don’t want to use the app store because I am not signed into it (nor do I want to).

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Have you checked out the WireGuard’s own website?

macOS Homebrew and MacPorts – Basic CLI [homebrew userspace go & homebrew tools] & [macports userspace go & macports tools]

$ brew install wireguard-tools

or

$ port install wireguard-tools

For the life of me can’t find the page where I read wireguard-tools is not ideal if you can use the Wireguard GUI app on macOS. Wireguard CLI works best on Linux only as far as I understand per what I read. I can’t find the page now.

I could be wrong so if anyone has a better idea/answer/explanation, please share.
