Announcing Grok for Government

Had thought to keep it opinion free and let others observe and form their own opinions but also had not expected a response (I think?) from someone involved in running the site. I have followed Musk since around PayPal days when he was just a nobody baby billionaire but never could put my finger on him. Anyone gaining the kind of wealth and power he obtained over basically 5 years…that is something we should all probably be wary of no matter the person.

Big Tech has had a symbiotic benefit to partner with govt (including on public deception) way before Musk rose to power. But that under the radar announcement in the link, reads to me like Musk is all-in with govt now. Maybe its his way of trying to be transparent where he can. It certainly didn’t have to be posted by his own company like it was or reveal what it did. It also has the potential to end whatever thread is left of 1A/privacy freedoms…more than anything ever has…if other Big Tech had not already helped to ensure that outcome prior to Musk.

Despite potential societal benefits to the general public (maybe), for now above all else AI is advanced data collection/manipulation/surveillance tools that allows legal theft and targeting of unique or threatening ideas with precision across society, for monetary gains/agendasor any other reason. That function will likely continue to improve exponentially every year. I could care less about death robots and singularity events (or even gradual job/economic impacts), while seemingly over 90% of the population still seems ignorant to the threat it represents in keeping people complacent with 50/50 divisional issues that prevent unification on larger threats to freedoms.

A somewhate innocuous example relative to others I could mention…Big Tech’s consensus data will make polling data seem silly. Plus they have that public data too. Soon the most powerful people in the world will know who is going to win elections to a near certainty months ahead of voting. They may be there already. AI is an umbrella term and just a new iteration for where we have been going for decades but sort of an end-game to me and I see signs of confidence that both govt/tech no longer is very concerned with public outrage or ability to unify.

Anyone who reads all this later, even if most of this is apparent to this group, maybe the way I frame some of it can be useful for anyone stumbling on it. This is partly also why I hold back sharing PoVs and why I bold. I struggle to keep word counts even this low

Cheers.
