This map is based on OSM…
Has anyone found a way to download it, for use with the PG recommended map softwares? An OSMAnd extension, or something like that?
It seems a shame to build a privacy tool like this, then lock it in a cloud server…
Update: you don’t need to import anything, this data is natively available in OSM
The tool linked above does two things
But the data itself, the coordinates linked to Flock cameras, is not hosted within this tool. It’s not locked behind any walls. It’s a native datatype in OpenSteet Maps. This was built right, cudos
Within OSM, the datatype is called Places of Interest, 'POIs". The automatic license plate readers are under ‘surveillance’, or ‘man-made surveilance’
If you use one of the PG recommended map tools that run on OSM, you can represent this data directly to your maps app. It’s likely already downloaded on your phone
I don’t see how to view it in CoMaps. There are categories like restaurant, police, wifi, etc. But I don’t see surveillance.
Hm, comaps may not support all OSM POI types
I can confirm I was able to add surveillance POIs as a custom overlay within OSMAnd
