# Why isn't 2FAS recommended here?

I am an iOS user, and the only recommended 2FA app on this website is Ente. I have nothing against Ente, but 2FAS also fulfills all our criteria. Why isn’t it recommended here?

It was discussed and denied, albeit a little while ago, [here](https://discuss.privacyguides.net/t/add-2fas-authenticator-app/12958). It was rejected due to a lack of E2EE iCloud backups, which appears to still be the case based on [this issue](https://github.com/twofas/2fas-ios/issues/43#issuecomment-1738605656) still being open.

They’re still working on it, should be coming with the next release.
