I also searched in forum and couldn’t find any discussion or question about it. So I thought I’d start one. It seems to fit most criteria but I’m a noob so what do I know. Most messengers nowadays implement multiple network types for various features (eg, voice and video calls being P2P while messenging can be centralized/federated/anonymously routed), so the pros/cons are necessarily contextual (ie, no pros/cons per software but rather per network type, so that for hybrid messengers implementing multiple network types, the pros/cons for each of these network types apply depending on what features of the messenger are being used).
