# Why I don't like Proton (my thoughts)

They had [critical issues](https://mega-awry.io/pdf/mega-malleable-encryption-goes-awry.pdf) with encryption in the past. And some people [complain](https://discuss.privacyguides.net/t/any-advices-how-to-store-sensitive-information-in-cloud/36355/14) about them banning people, who use privacy tools like Cryptomator

I think for now something like Koofr + Cryptomator will be the best
