# What makes the Accrescent app store so secure?

GrapheneOS endorses Accrescent in a way that it really doesn’t for any other app store AFAIK. What about it’s architecture makes it so secure?

Well, for one it allows you to actually sign your own APKs and not have Google do it, like it is required on the Playstore.

There are many other stores that allow you to do this.  
For example:

- The offical F-Droid repo, allows it if you provide reproducible builds
- The IzzyOnDroid repo
- Zapstore
- Almost any other store
