UblockOrigin[dot]app (*not* affiliated with uBlock Origin)

I am pretty sure writing another comment on this thread is a waste of time but for clarity.

After a 2nd look, the website does appear to give legitimate links to uBO but I would still consider it shady

EDIT: removed part of my comment as to not direct to a non official site.

ublockorigin[.]com is also not tied to the actual uBlock Origin extension.

The only “official” site for uBlock Origin is GitHub - gorhill/uBlock: uBlock Origin - An efficient blocker for Chromium and Firefox. Fast and lean.

TIL - oh wow. Thanks!

The unofficial website could be a bait and switch. They offer legitimate links to the software for now to climb search engine rankings then replace it with a malicious link.

Do you think this level of pedantry is helping anyone?

Whether or not there is an actual application offered for download it and this site are not legitimately tied to the uBlock Origin extension.

Happy?

I am muting you now so I won’t be notified of further replies

I would appreciate you clarifying your claims of me and my statements being mistaken or false with more evidence to support them:

Otherwise, I will continue to treat them as unsubstantiated claims.

Yeah its strange to see someone say something that they actually mean and not only that, has proven to stick to his word FOR FREE and open source everything. I don’t even know this man but he’s definitely one of the good ones. And i agree, it is a strange policy BUT it shouldn’t be!! It’s a shame that this policy wasn’t much more common (and proven to be true).

Not really sure what the original point of this post was, but @lyricism is correct:
